We are all our worst enemies.

"Hello World!" I shouted from the top of an 10 floor building in the middle of suburbia. My floral dress billowed around my body sending shivers of fear and exhilaration. There was nothing holding me back except myself. No wires, no bungee, no human. I moved my feet just half an inch closer to the edge and my heart began to race with a deafening speed. My pulse thundered making me light-headed. The wind twirled my hair around with his fingers as the cliche sky - completely blue with perfectly formed white clouds - welcomed me. The ground with its perfectly potted daisies and daffodils screamed for me to join them. Their luring, smiling stigmas and ovaries - their comforting croons and whispers - their almost-surreal contrast with the perfect blue sky and the velvet green carpeting. So I took that step.
As I pummeled to the ground, suburbia became uglier and uglier. And then I was trapped.
